The pattern includes instructions for either the hat or the cowl, depicting a geographically inaccurate representation of iconic buildings of Stirling - The castle (obviously!), the Wallace Monument, the Bridge clocktower at the Customs roundabout and a bonus unicorn from the Hunt of the Unicorn tapestry that was recreated at Stirling Castle. The old bridge circles the hat above the rib.
The pattern is one-size, to fit an adult head approx. 22" circumference. The pattern is knit with two colours of Kinross 4ply and uses one hank of each colour for either the hat or the cowl version. The sample shown is knit with Inveraray and Beadlet. They are knit in the round using stranded knitting. There are some long floats so please make sure you are comfortable with catching floats for this design. It uses 3mm needles for the ribbing and 3.25mm for the body.
