This is an incredibly soft yarn with pretty, heathered colours in a wide range of shades. It is 100% extra-fine alpaca. The recommended needle size is 3.5mm, a bit smaller than a standard DK, but the stated tension is 22 sts per 10cm and it appears a reasonably standard thickness. Beautiful drape with a soft halo, the plied structure gives great stitch definition and makes a very warm fabric. It has good yardage for a DK, with 133 metres per 50g ball. This yarn is part of Adriafil's 'Precious' range of yarns, and instead of mill bags the balls come in boxes wrapped in tissue paper, so larger orders will be dispatched in these boxes.
